In North Carolina there are some areas where wild horses roam freely. However, because they are free, they're also hard to spot and even harder to take a picture of. During my trip, I saw only one true wild horse and that was while I was riding a domestic horse along the beach. I had no opportunity to take my camera out to take a picture of the wild horse.

Fortunately, the good people of the Outer Banks where these wild horses live, have seen fit to fence in an area that results in a number of the wild horses to be visible from certain areas. I visited this area a couple of times to try and get some photos of these pseudo-wild horses. Here are a few pictures from that collection.
